Privacy

NV Bookstore is a portfolio demo. It stores only the information needed to demonstrate accounts, carts, shipping details, and order history.

Information stored

Accounts contain a name, email address, password hash, optional profile details, cart items, and demo order history. Passwords are one-way hashed and are never recoverable.

Cookies

A secure HTTP-only cookie keeps you signed in. It is not available to browser JavaScript and expires automatically.

Payments

No real payment details are collected. Checkout creates a sandbox-only order record.

Data access

Account and order data is restricted by server-side authentication and ownership checks. Administrators can manage store inventory and order status.

Use the repository issue tracker for project-related privacy questions. Do not include passwords or other sensitive information in an issue.
